Advocacy for Women with Disabilities Initiative (AWWDI) is a leading national organization committed to promoting the rights and full inclusion of women and girls with disabilities in Nigeria. We work to create a society where every woman and girl with a disability can live a life of dignity and reach her full potential.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Assistant to join our dynamic team in Abuja. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a powerful movement for change and make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Provide administrative and logistical support for AWWDI’s programs and projects.
  •  Assist with organizing workshops, trainings, advocacy visits, and other events.
  •  Maintain and update program records, documents, and databases.
  •  Assist in drafting reports, presentations, and other communications.
  •  Liaise with partners, stakeholders, and community members.
  •  Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:

  •  A minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  •  A strong passion for the rights and empowerment of women and girls with disabilities.
  •  Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  •  Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  •  Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  •  Previous experience working with a non-governmental organization (NGO) is an asset.
  •  Personal experience with disability is highly valued.
